The 3-day excursion to the desert of Merzouga is ideal for those who want to enjoy the dunes of Erg Chebbi without haste and have three days.
Day 1: Marrakech - Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou - Valley of Roses - The Dades Gorges
Pick up at the Riad or Hotel where they are staying in Marrakech, departure to the High Atlas Mountains through the port of Tizi N'Tichka at about 2,260 meters above sea level, with stops to enjoy spectacular panoramic views, we will visit the oil co-operative of ARGAN, where we will discover the production process and explain to us the innumerable benefits it has for the human body, we will continue to the south and then we will take a 6 km track that will take us to the fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou where we will visit its famous Kasbah (Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO). In this spectacular setting, such renowned films as Gladiator, Jewel of the Nile, Sahara, lunch in the village and we will continue the journey to Ouarzazate, considered the great gate of the desert, place from where the great expeditions depart and highlights the great Kasbah of Taourirt, we will continue towards the Valley of the Roses passing through the great palm grove of Skoura and Boumalne until we reach the Gorges of Dades. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 2: The Gorges of Dades - The Gorges of Todra - Dunes of Merzouga Desert
Breakfast and we will travel to Merzouga we will go up a path to observe the gorges from a strategic place in the mountain and then we will continue on a road dotted with beautiful Kasbah totally different from each other. After several stops, we will reach one of the strong points of the south: The Gorges of the Todra 300m, The Todra river channel has formed a gorge of vertical walls of enormous proportions and of great beauty, it is the paradise of the climbers and a unique place . lunch on the site and then to the desert until we reach the impressive Dunes of Merzouga where we will have a hospitality tea while we rest a little. We will leave the suitcases in the hostel and we will leave in a caravan of dromedaries, that in one hour, will take us to the Haimas camp. Stop in the middle of the road to watch the sunset in the dunes and stretch your legs before following the path to the camp. before dinner we will have the opportunity to climb the dunes that are near the camp and have a tea enjoying the peace and silence that is breathed there. we will spend the night in a haima, under stars. (unforgettable night)
Day 3: Dunes of Merzouga - Draa Valley - Anti Atlas - Ouarzazate - Marrakech
We will wake up before dawn to watch the sunrise in the Great Dune. Return in dromedaries to the lodge. Shower, breakfast and start the trip, passing through Rissani, one of the oldest cities in Morocco and capital of the Alaouit dynasty, and crossing the arid and at the same time interesting pre-desert landscapes to reach the Draa Valley where we will make several stops to enjoy this beautiful valley that runs along the river that bears the same name. It is the longest river in Morocco and crosses the whole country to Mauritania. We will cross the Anti Atlas to reach Ouarzazate, lunch at the site. In the afternoon we will cross the High Atlas, and arrive in Marrakech.
