Routes from Marrakech end in fez 3 days


 

Days 1: Marrakech - Ait ben haddou - Ouarzazate - Skoura - Gorges of the dades.

Departure from Marrakech in the early morning in the direction of the South, crossing the Alto Altlas. Passing through one of the highest mountain passes of the Atlas, the Tizi N'Tichka, at 2,260m altitude. During this stage we will stop to enjoy a "Berber whiskey" (Moroccan tea), as well as contemplate the beauty of these mountains and their Berber villages. We will stop in the fortified village of Aït Ben Haddou, to visit its famous kasbah, one of the most exotic and best preserved in the entire Atlas region, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and the site of multiple film productions such as Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, among others. After this visit, lunch and continue to the city of Ouarzazate, knot city of roads that opens the doors of the Great South of Morocco. We will go to the village of Skoura, famous for its impressive kasbahs and palm groves, continuing to the Valley of Roses and then the Dades Valley (Route of the Thousand Kasbahs) where we will have the opportunity to appreciate the oases and palm trees, the Kasbahs and the magnificent landscape of the Middle Atlas. Dinner and accommodation in the Dades Valley.

 

Days 2: Dades - Todra Gorges - Tinjdad - Erfoud - Merzouga

After breakfast, we will go through the Dades ravines and head towards the Gorges of Todra, a huge fault in the plateau of up to 300m at its narrowest point, where you can stop for a while and walk, enjoying the cold water of the river and of the rocky landscapes, at the same time that you will be able to observe how the nomads go to look for water to the river. Then we will go to the only genuine "Erg" of the Sahara of Morocco, the Erg Chebbi, they are 250m high dunes. Before arriving we will pass through Erfoud, the Puerta del Desierto, where we will go by a track of the Paris-Dakar Rally. The arrival to Merzouga will be around 3pm in the afternoon to go out in caravan of dromedaries and to enter the dunes, in the magical desert towards the Great Dune, to attend the beautiful spectacle of the sunset. You will spend the night in a wild oasis , in the heart of the desert, two hours in the dromedary of the lodge. Dinner and unforgettable night in the Berber jaima.

 

Days 3: Merzouga - Erfoud - Ziz Valley - Midelt - Azrou - Ifran -Fes

Contemplate the beauty of the sunrise in the dunes and breakfast. Departure to the lodge in dromedary to take a shower. Exit of the desert towards the capital of the kasbahs in the South of Morocco. Rissani, is the origin of the Moroccan dynasty. With luck, we can coincide with your market day that will allow you to discover the authentic Morocco. Once again, we passed through Erfoud to enter the Ziz and Tafilalt Valley, leaving behind the town of Errachidia, crossing villages full of palm trees, several ksours and a turquoise blue water dam. We will cross the Middle Atlas towards Fez, the oldest of the imperial cities and UNESCO World Heritage
